Last Updated: April 8, 2026
FreightBridge ("we", "us", or "our") operates the FreightBridge mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App.

- Email address
- Phone number
- Commercial Driver License (CDL) number and state of issuance
- Company name and DOT/MC numbers (if applicable)
1.2 Identity Verification Data
When you complete identity verification, we collect:
- Driver license photograph
- Facial photograph (selfie) for identity matching

Identity verification is processed using AWS Textract (for CDL document reading) and AWS Rekognition (for facial comparison). Facial recognition data is used solely for identity verification and is not shared with other users or third parties beyond what is necessary for verification.
1.3 Location Data (Including Background Location)
We collect your device location to:
- Track shipment progress for dispatchers and brokers
- Calculate truck-safe routes
- Find nearby facilities, fuel stations, and parking
- Enable proximity-based driver chat
- Provide real-time road condition alerts
Background Location Access: FreightBridge collects location data in the background (when the app is closed or not in use) to provide continuous shipment tracking while you are on an active load. This allows dispatchers and brokers to receive real-time ETAs and shipment updates without requiring you to keep the app open. Background location data is sent to our servers as GPS pings at regular intervals during active loads only. You can disable background location at any time in your device settings or in the app's Settings screen.

We access your camera and photo library to:
- Scan and upload documents (CDL, insurance, BOL, POD, etc.)
- Capture photos for identity verification
- Document pickup and delivery conditions
